Woodland and forest covers about 22 percent of the National Park – that’s over 300 square kilometres of trees – so it’s of huge importance. Personally a walk in the woods beats a walk on the moors. There’s something so special about a UK woodland with its acient trees, undergrowth, wild flowers and streams.
