As everyday life gets more and more hectic and with more and more couples starting a family before they are married, Mini-Moons are becoming ever popular.
So what exactly is a Mini-Moon? Well typically, a Mini-Moon is a short break taken by a newly married couple for a short period of time before the longer and usually further afield honeymoon is taken. Here are 3 top things to consider when planning your Mini-Moon.
The first thing to think about is distance. Mini-Moons are usually not all that long and so you don’t want to spend all of your precious time together travelling (although I do love a good road trip!). So, decide how long you are prepared to travel for and make a circle on a map. This will make it easier for you to decide where to go.
Your Mini-Moon, no matter how short, should be extra special and luxurious. After all, it will be the place you start your married life together. Make sure there is a gallery of images full of pictures to show you just how luxurious the accommodation is. Another great tip is to read the Guest Book and find out what previous guests thought. If you really want to do your research, then check Trip Advisor too. Look out for little touches of luxury like fluffy bathrobes being provided, a welcome hamper full of delicious local goodies waiting for you on arrival and a well stocked cupboard of books and dvds. These things can make all the difference .
For those moments when you can tear yourselves away from your luxury accommodation, you will want to be in a location where there is plenty to see and do. This will give you lots of opportunity to create amazing memories of your Mini-Moon. Look for a location where there is a good mix of attractions. From lovely country estates you can stroll around hand in hand to bustling city centres with quaint tea shops and bistros.
