If you’re looking for a luxury holiday cottage near Pickering and Malton
Then Spring Cottage is for you!
The market towns of Pickering and Malton are only 5 miles away and here you’ll find your nearest supermarkets, banks, boutiques, inns, butchers, bakers (candlestick makers?)
You could very easily spend a day in each, browsing their independant shops, lunching at one of their eateries and generally soaking up the atmosphere of these traditional market towns.
Malton is known as the food capital of Yorkshire. Its reputation is growing due to its monthly food markets and annual Food Lover’s Festival which features live demonstrations and some celebrity chefs. The New Malton, in the market place, is the perfect place for a spot of lunch or treat yourself to a massage at Number One Health and Beauty.
Perhaps more well known than Malton because of the North York Moors Steam Railway which begins its journey from here, across the North York Moors to Whitby. The fabulous Bothams bakery and tea room is directly opposite the railway station and well worth a visit. Pickering’s annual World War II weekend is a firm fixture in the diary with the town stepping back in time with costumes, re-enactments and general nostalgia! There’s more about Pickering in our blog about the North York Moors, click here.
A Short Drive Away
