Yes really you will!
Going on holiday with children is always about compromise isn’t it? You want peace and tranquillity and your kids want theme park and excitement.
You planned a family holiday to North Yorkshire to instill your love of the countryside into your children. You planned to head out for walks on the North York Moors, to visit the market towns of Malton and Pickering, breathing in all the fresh air and appreciating the uniqueness of these old towns.
But your children have different ideas. At the mere mention of a walk, or a browse around town, the moaning and groaning starts, not to mention the miserable, grumpy faces.
So you relent! After all, it’s their holiday too and you want them to enjoy it.
It’s a good job then that you chose your holiday cottage close to Flamingo Land.
It’s a good job you chose Spring Cottage! It gives you the peace and tranquillity you crave (tucked away down a quiet lane, in a quiet village) but it also gives you very easy access to Flamingo Land (2 miles away).
And who knows, once the theme park is done, the children may be more willing to head out on those moorland walks!
It’s Not All Bad!
Flamingo Land doesn’t just have adrenaline fuelled roller coasters is has a mix of rides for all ages, a zoo and daily shows, including the sealion and African dancer shows. There’s a range of restaurants onsite, but why not head back to Spring Cottage for a quick bite to eat and a quick re-charge?

Flamingo Land also offers Zoo Keeper Days – a really special treat and a chance to get up close and personal with the animals. This is mentioned in my A-Z Insider Guide to the North York Moors Area.
